Nicly made game. I do think it would be nice if there was some sort of progression. Maybe the dots could approach quicker the further on you go. If that is already a thing, I suggest ramping up more quickly, as I didn't notice anything up to 1000.
It is a bit weird that it is possible to, after you just hit a circle, move up or down, and hit a circle from the same wave. That feels like an oversight. Also, when I die, the music track started to play on top of the already playing music, making it unpleasent.
Good work for a first game, and brave to put it out for others to see!

I have added the progression, but as you said it is not fast enough.. will ramp it up. And, will the work on the other issues as well..
